We deliberately choose boring, well-supported technology. That means the tools we use today will still be mainstream in a decade, and you will have no trouble finding another Australian developer who already knows them. We do not chase the framework of the month.
Cloud Platforms
AWS
Our default cloud for most new builds. We use EC2, RDS, S3, Lambda, CloudFront and Route 53. Infrastructure defined in Terraform, so any environment can be rebuilt from a Git commit.
Microsoft Azure
The right choice for Microsoft shops: Windows Server, SQL Server, Office 365 integration, Azure AD. We move businesses to Azure where it reduces licence complexity and cost.
Backend Languages & Frameworks
Python
Django and FastAPI for APIs, internal tools and data pipelines. Our default for most new SME builds because the talent pool is large and the ecosystem is mature.
.NET (C#)
For Windows-centric businesses and existing Microsoft shops. We build ASP.NET Core APIs and integrate with existing SQL Server databases.
Node.js
When the frontend team also owns the API, Node keeps the toolchain consistent. We reach for it for real-time dashboards and portal backends.
PHP (Laravel)
For heritage web applications and WordPress/WooCommerce extensions. We maintain and modernise older PHP systems rather than rewriting them unnecessarily.
Frontend
React
Our default for interactive portals, dashboards and customer-facing apps. Large talent pool, long support horizon, excellent accessibility tooling.
Angular
For enterprise-style internal tools where structured, opinionated architecture matters. We take it over where existing systems already use it.
Data
PostgreSQL
Our default relational database. Open source, rock solid, great tooling, no licence fees.
SQL Server / MySQL
We work with whatever you already run. We do not force a migration unless there is a clear cost or performance reason.
Mobile
Flutter
Cross-platform apps from a single codebase. Faster and cheaper than building separate iOS and Android native apps, and the performance is excellent for most SME use cases.
React Native / Native
When you already have a React web team, React Native keeps skills shared. We go fully native (Swift/Kotlin) only for heavy device work like offline field apps.
Technology Selection
We do not pitch serverless-everything, blockchains, or AI wrappers unless they solve a specific problem. We choose technologies that will still be maintainable and hireable in five years.

Why do you default to "boring" technology?
Because in five years you will still need to hire someone to maintain it. We pick mature, well-supported platforms with large talent pools — Python, .NET, React, PostgreSQL, AWS, Azure — rather than chasing whatever is fashionable this quarter.
Will I be locked into your stack?
No. On final payment you own the source code and documentation outright, and you can take the system to any developer in Australia. We never lock you into a proprietary framework.
Which cloud should we choose?
It depends on what you already run. A Microsoft shop (Windows Server, SQL Server, Office 365) usually fits Azure; Linux, Python or modern web applications usually fit AWS. We recommend based on your stack, not on whichever vendor called us last.
